Newcastle fans are hoping for a fruitful transfer window at St James’ Park and are excited at the prospect of reported target Nicolai Jorgensen joining Ayoze Perez and co.

Newcastle United ended a successful season in emphatic fashion, dispatching Chelsea 3-0 at St James’ Park on Sunday, securing a comfortable top 10 finish in the process.
Everyone in Rafa Benitez’s side performed brilliantly, but Ayoze Perez – netting a second-half brace – really stood out on the day.
In fact, the 24-year-old forward has had a pretty spectacular run-in, scoring five and assisting two in eight games for the Magpies, and as a result he looks as though he’s secured a position in the side next term, although new arrivals are imminent, with long-term target Nicolai Jorgensen likely on the wish-list – according to the Daily Star (9th May, Page 45).

It’s no secret that Benitez has lacked a physical presence up-front this campaign, with Dwight Gayle often unable to make the ball stick and link play in the attacking third, and as a result FC Feyenoord’s talisman is seen as a suitable and feasible solution.
The well rounded Danish striker could instantly be paired alongside Ayoze Perez, acting as the anchor point for the attack, whilst Perez buzzes around playing his usual industrious game, similar to that of West Ham’s Hernandez.
The brawny forward can also play though, and possesses fine attacking nuance, recognising when to make runs in behind and when to make possession stick. Jorgensen is well into double figures for the season and also has a number of assists to his name, suggesting that he has what it takes to become a success in the Premier League.
