Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want Ivan Perisic, but do Manchester United have the edge if they return for the winger?

Tottenham Hotspur are continuing their pursuit for a left winger this summer and have identified Ivan Perisic as their next target, according to Calcio Mercato.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino had previously made Manchester United’s Anthony Martial his priority target, but was disappointed when reports emerged claiming the Frenchman is negotiating a new contract at Old Trafford (the Sun).
And now there is a possibility United could scupper Spurs’ plans for Perisic, if they revisit their strong interest in the Croatian (Sky Sports) this summer.

Daley Blind tops Inter Milan’s wish-list this window, according to the Metro, as the Italian giants are desperate to secure a left-sided defensive option, and the 28-year-old has fallen out of favour under Mourinho.
The Portuguese boss heavily courted Perisic last summer, as he searched for a naturally left-sided wide man with experience, with Martial, Marcus Rashford, and now Alexis Sanchez all playing the roles of inverted wingers from that side.
The issue is still unresolved at Old Trafford, meaning United’s return for Perisic would likely be on the cards if the 29-year-old was made readily available during talks with Tottenham, and Blind could give Mourinho serious bargaining power in the negotiations.

Pochettino could even the score by sending veteran midfielder Mousa Dembele to the San Siro (Calcio Mercato), but the news that Blind is a priority target is undoubtedly another blow for the Lilywhites.
Both Premier League teams will be looking to bolster their squads this summer to put in stronger challenges for the Premier League crown next season.
