The Chelsea midfielder was in fine form against Costa Rica on Thursday evening and Crystal Palace supporters want him back next season.

Crystal Palace loanee Ruben Loftus-Cheek put in an assured display in just his fourth cap for the Three Lions, and has put himself in a great position to start matches come tournament time in 10 days.

The Chelsea midfielder provides a rare blend of physicality and class to the side and engineered most of England’s promising moves on the night, notably bagging an assist for Marcus Rashford’s rocket in the first-half.

Marcus Rashford of England scores his sides first goal during the International Friendly match between England and Costa Rica at Elland Road on June 7, 2018 in Leeds, England.

He had an air of maturity about his play and registered a faultless 100 per cent passing accuracy (34 passes), while drawing five fouls from the opposition and completing two successful dribbles in 79 minutes.

Crystal Palace fans were watching in awe on the night, with many reluctantly coming to accept the likelihood the 22-year-old is destined to move onto bigger and better things next term.

Here is some of the reaction from Palace supporters:

Chelsea are likely to recall Loftus-Cheek this summer, as N’Golo Kante was their only outstanding midfield regular last term, with Danny Drinkwater, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ross Barkley all underwhelming at Stamford Bridge in their debut campaigns.

However, Eagles boss Roy Hodgson will surely enquire about the possibility of taking the midfielder on loan again next term, as Palace will need all the quality reinforcements they can get to ensure another successful season.
