Manuel Pellegrini has been tipped for a busy summer transfer window as he moulds his West Ham United side.

Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck’s future is uncertain with the recent appointment of Unai Emery as the new coach at the Emirates Stadium, and the English international now has just one year remaining on his contract, according to the Daily Star.
Welbeck, 27, was considered an important addition to Arsene Wenger’s squad, although issues with frequent injuries limited him to just 112 appearances in four seasons, having joined from Manchester United in 2014.
However, fortunes have turned for the striker this term, and he has managed 43 appearances for the Gunners across all competitions, scoring 10 goals from his many positions under the former boss.

Manuel Pellegrini has made his desire to get the Hammers playing attacking and progressive football next season (Sky Sports), and signing someone of Welbeck’s recent pedigree would certainly be a good place to start.
The former Red Devil has added finesse to his already impressive game in recent years, combining for a number of splendid goals for the north London giants; most recently rounding off an incisive move against Atletico Madrid with an emphatic strike in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final.
The Hammers were overly reliant on Marko Arnautovic to craft attacking moves last term, and the long-term injury to Michail Antonio did not help on that front. Attacking reinforcements at this stage are a must.

Welbeck often doubles as a left winger and could interchange with the big Austrian to craft more intricate and less predictable attacks. Manuel Lanzini could also have further room to roam as a result, and play his natural game while more defenders are occupied.
The Arsenal forward is likely to face serious competition from Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette next term and will likely be resigned to a bit-part role.
Perhaps West Ham could convince Welbeck to move across town. Given the right assurances he could relish the opportunity to become the main asset for a big club.
