Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to share their reactions to the imminent appointment of former Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery.

Arsenal are due to appoint former Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery this week, according to a report from Sky Sports News, and the fan reaction on Twitter has been incredibly mixed so far.
The 46-year-old manager led the Ligue 1 giants to a domestic treble this term, but was replaced by ex-Dortmund man Thomas Tuchel after an underwhelming Champions League campaign, where his side were touted among the favourites.

Former Arsenal midfielder and captain Mikel Arteta was supposedly in the running for the position, but is said to have withdrew from negotiations on Monday, over concerns with the club’s transfer policies. He will now likely remain at Manchester City as part of Pep Guardiola’s entourage for the upcoming season.
Here is some of the reaction to the surprising news:
It appears Emery on the whole was not the level of appointment that the majority of Arsenal fans were expecting after the end of Arsene Wenger’s 22-year dynasty at the club, with names like Luis Enrique and Massimiliano Allegri proving far more popular among the fans.
Despite the controversy surrounding the decision, there is no doubting the Spaniard’s quality though, having one the Europa League three consecutive times from 2014-2016 with Sevilla, before earning the Manager of the Year award for his only season in France.
