Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella has vetoed a move to Premier League side Cardiff City, it has been revealed in the Italian press.
Italian World Cup winner Fabio Quagliarella appears to have rejected an opportunity to join Cardiff City.
The 30-year-old has been short of first-team opportunities this season with Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente proving a lethal partnership for Juventus.
Quagliarella was expected to leave Turin, probably on loan, in the January transfer window but time is starting to run out.
A potential move to West Ham fell through and a deal with Lazio sputtered out, so Cardiff stepped in hoping to bolster their squad for their Premier League relegation dogfight.
With Mirko Vucinic currently headed towards staying in Turin having seemingly rejected a move to Arsenal and Pablo Daniel Osvaldo arriving from Southampton, Quagliarella faces the prospect of still less action in the second half of the season.
There’s still time for Quagliarella to find a new club before the window shuts, but it will require some fast work from his agent.
