Juventus striker Stephy Mavididi has agreed a deal to join French side Dijon on a season-long loan deal, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Former Arsenal youngster Mavididi was a target for a number of Premier League and Championship clubs on loan this summer, but no one was able to strike a deal for the attacker before their transfer window closed earlier this month.

Mavididi is likely to find himself down the pecking order at Juventus this season and he is interested in a loan move away in search of first-team action.

Juventus are open to the idea of sending Mavididi out on loan so that he can continue his development with regular first-team football.

Mavididi joined Juventus from Arsenal last summer and after impressing for Juve’s Under-23s side he broke into the first-team at the back end of last season.

The 21-year-old made his first-team debut in April against SPAL and was named on the bench for a further three games as the Bianconeri secured another Serie A title.

Juventus have fielded enquiries from a number of clubs for Mavididi to go on loan and they feel Dijon is the best option for him to be playing regularly in Ligue 1 this season.
