Mehdi Benatia responded to Tottenham’s Serge Aurier after crucial World Cup win for Morocco against Ivory Coast.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier had to taste a slice of humble pie as his Ivory Coast failed to qualify for the World Cup.
Morocco beat Ivory Coast 2-0 in the deciding play-off, with Nabil Dirar and Mehdi Benatia scoring the goals.
It was a tough blow for the Elephants to take, and Aurier in particular.

Aurier had boasted on social media before the game that Ivory Coast would ‘cut’ their opponents and reach the World Cup.
His comments had not gone unnoticed by the Moroccans, with goalscorer Benatia responding to Aurier after the game on Instagram.
The Juventus defender posted ‘No my brother, all did not pass as expected it seems.”
Aurier must pick himself up for another crucial game this weekend, if selected, when Tottenham face Arsenal.
Spurs have Kieran Trippier as an alternative, and head coach Mauricio Pochettino may go for the England ace considering he has not travelled like Aurier and will also not be dealing with the crushing loss of failing to qualify for next summer’s World Cup.
