Tottenham Hotspur may well choose to cash in on Kieran Trippier this summer, and the England international won’t have a shortage of suitors.

The 28-year-old starred at least summer’s World Cup, but hasn’t been able to replicate that form in what has been a difficult season for the former Burnley man.

Defensive errors and diminishing attacking input have seen Trippier come in for plenty of criticism this season, leaving Spurs fans to feel that a younger, more dynamic right back is needed instead.

Those fans may be surprised by the level of interest in Tripper though. Gianluca Di Marzio recently claimed that Manchester United and Napoli both want to sign Trippier this summer, and another major club can be added to the list.

Tuttosport claim that Juventus are interested in Trippier, as they prepare to sell speedy right back Joao Cancelo this summer. Now, part-exchange deals are notoriously difficult in football, but this one is staring Mauricio Pochettino in the face.

Cancelo, 24, is absolutely perfect for Spurs. The Portuguese international is rapid, he’s technically gifted, he’s a superb crosser of the ball and he’s strong enough defensively to play in a back four.

Juventus allegedly want around €60million (£51million) for Cancelo, but Tottenham should attempt a cheeky part-exchange deal, sending Trippier plus cash – around £30million – to the Turin giants in an attempt to offload Trippier and get in a top talent.

It may not happen, but with Juventus seemingly eyeing up Trippier as a replacement for Cancelo, Tottenham would be foolish not to try a part-exchange deal to make both sides happy.
