Chelsea are said to be closing in on Saint-Etienne’s 16-year-old star Rayan Souici, but sources suggest Juventus are also hovering.
Rayan Souici is being touted as the next great French talent and Chelsea can expect some stiff competition if they are to sign him.
The central midfielder has cited Juventus star Paul Pogba as an inspiration and it seems that the Old Lady are hoping to find another young prospect for their ranks.
Di Marzio insists that Juventus have made contact with Souici’s representatives over the last 24 hours in the hope of beginning provisional talks.
It has been reported that Souici is ready to sign a three-year contract with Chelsea within the next few days, so Juventus may have to move quickly if they are to hijack their deal.
While Juve may have the sentimental edge, Chelsea would certainly be able to offer a more lucrative deal, so Souici may have to choose between his heart and his head.
French side Monaco, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal have all also been linked with Souici over the last few months.
