Juventus could make an attempt to snatch reported Manchester United target Antonio Candreva from Lazio, according to Italian reports.
If Manchester United do want to sign Italian playmaker Antonio Candreva they may have to act quickly to prevent Juventus getting in ahead of them.
The 27-year-old is on red-hot form for Lazio with five goals in a month and he has stepped up since the departure of Brazilian star Hernanes.
Candreva appears to be exactly the player Manchester United have been lacking this season, capable of inspiring a midfielder and yet willing to battle.
It has been suggested that the Italian international features high up on United’s summer shopping list, but that list seems to be fairly long.
Although Candreva has always expressed a desire to stay with Lazio, he would surely be unable to resist such a pay rise.
Candreva is co-owned by Udinese, just like Juan Cuadrado of Fiorentina, but Udinese are said to have already agreed to sell their 50 percent share for around £7m.
Lazio owner Claudio Lotito may be reticent to sell another prized asset after vehement protests and threats when he sold fan favourite Hernanes to Inter in January.
But Lazio appear to need the money and Manchester United may need to get into gear if they are to prevent Juventus stealing Candreva away.
