Juventus will reportedly look to sign AS Roma superstar Nicolo Zaniolo in 2023, who Tottenham are also desperate to bring after months of speculation.
According to Tuttosport, the Old Lady will reignite their interest to sign the Italian international after coming close to landing Zaniolo in the summer, with Juventus one of the main clubs chasing the Serie A playmaker alongside Antonio Conte’s Tottenham.
As per the report, Spurs’ managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, is desperate to sign the 23-year-old attacker in the January window. Yet despite this intention from Tottenham’s transfer chief, Juventus will likely view themselves as the favourites to land Zaniolo.
With Tottenham having a £46m bid rejected by Roma for Zaniolo in the summer as per CalcioMercatoWeb, there’s every chance that the north London side will also reignite their interest in the Italian wizard. Yet the reemerging threat of Juventus could throw a spanner in the works.

Indeed, despite Juventus’ lack of success in the past few years, the Turin-based side have huge pulling power in the Italian transfer market. And as a result, Massimiliano Allegri could launch a move to sign Zaniolo if the finances are there regardless of Tottenham’s interest.
Moreover, with Juventus looking to completely transform in 2023 with a slew of squad changes, Zaniolo could be tempted to move to the Bianconeri as their new leading attacking midfielder and superstar player, with Tottenham’s lack of success likely something that could hinder Conte and Paratici in their attempt to sign the midfielder.
Juventus signing Zaniolo could be a nightmare situation for Tottenham

Tottenham’s interest in Zaniolo is easy for all to see, with the north London club being linked with the Roma star ever since Paratici’s appointment last year. However, Juventus winning the race for the attacking midfielder would be nothing short of a nightmare for the north London side.
After all, given Paratici and Conte’s links to the Old Lady, missing out on Zaniolo to a club like Juventus will sting greatly for the Italian duo. And for Allegri’s club, they will have landed one of Italy’s next great talents from a European rival who for months looked like the favourites to sign the 23-year-old.
