Tottenham Hotspur should consider a move for the Juventus forward.

Mauricio Pochettino manager

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has a lot of work to do in the summer, if he is to build a squad capable of taking the next step by winning a major trophy.

One particular area where the Argentine should be looking to strengthen is his forward department, with the addition of a top class striker needed to provide more competition for Harry Kane.

According to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Juventus are willing to listen to offers for Mario Mandžukić this summer, and he could be just the man for the job at Spurs.

The 31-year-old joined the Turin giants from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £13.6 million, and he has gone on to score 34 goals for the club.

Mandzukic is a serial winner, with a Champions League winner’s medal and seven league titles in three different countries to his name.

He really is top class, and would add so much to Tottenham, both on and off the pitch.

Another feather to the Croatian’s cap is his versatility.

Mandzukic can play as an orthodox striker through the middle or as a left winger – something that would provide Pochettino with more options if he needs to mix things up.

The Croatia international’s experience of winning could prove to be vital to the Lilywhites next season, and would surely help them reach that next level by winning their first trophy since 2008.
