Justin Thomas will be making his second start of the PGA Tour season at the Players Championship this week.
The 32-year-old American recently underwent back surgery and his return to action at Bay Hill last week went exactly how pretty much everyone expected it would.
He posted two rounds of 79 to finish at 14-over-par for two rounds and ended up in dead last position in the field.
The 16-time PGA Tour winner will be hoping for some big improvements this week in Jacksonville.
Thomas is a past Players Championship winner, after he reigned supreme at TPC Sawgrass in 2021.

Thomas admitted to feeling ‘humiliated’ at Bay Hill last week, so he’ll be desperate to turn things around at The Players.
The Players Championship is a huge event – arguably the fifth most important in the professional game.
So Thomas will surely be highly motivated to go to Sawgrass and put on a show this week.
Justin Thomas responds to suggestion that The Players could become a major
The PGA Tour released a promotional video for The Players last month, and there was a line right at the end of the commercial that caught everyone’s attention.
The promotional video ended with the line: ‘March is going to be major’.
That has led to much debate regarding whether or not The Players should actually be classed as a major championship.
Thomas was asked by reporters at Sawgrass what his reaction was when he saw the ‘major’ tagline during the commercials for The Players.

“Probably the same thing everybody else’s was,“ the 32-year-old responded.
He was then asked to elaborate on his answer.
“I don’t think I need to,“ Thomas exclaimed.
While he didn’t say it out loud, it was obvious that Thomas doesn’t believe The Players Championship should be given major status.
Why The Players Championship should not be a major
The crucial thing here, in my opinion, is that if The Players were to become a major, the PGA Tour would have to change their rules when it comes to LIV golfers.
The likes of Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Joaquin Niemann and a few others would have to be granted entry into the event .
You simply could not have a major championship that some of the best golfers in the world are not even eligible for.
Brandel Chamblee recently insisted that The Players Championship should be elevated to a major championship.
His main reason for that was because The Players has the strongest field in the game. However, that is no longer the case, with LIV golfers not allowed to compete at TPC Sawgrass.
And until that changes, The Players will have absolutely no chance of becoming golf’s fifth major championship.
