The 2025 PGA Tour season wraps up this week with the RSM Classic at Sea Island Resort.

Tommy Fleetwood won the Tour Championship in August, bringing the regular season to an end, but there was still plenty of golf left on the calendar.

The Fall Series has filled out the last few months, offering opportunities for players lower down the rankings to make their mark.

And with The RSM Classic taking place from November 20 to 23, PGA Tour superstar Justin Thomas has explained why he cannot wait to watch the showdown.

The RSM Classic may not be the biggest event on the PGA Tour calendar, but it carries plenty of weight for those involved.

It’s a final opportunity for players to break into the top 100 of the FedEx Cup standings and secure their Tour cards for the following season.

This is where so many careers can change in just one week. And Justin Thomas says that’s exactly why he’ll be watching this week.

“Excited to watch the RSM Classic this week. Yes, partially because I can’t really do much besides sitting on my recliner, but also the level of importance of this tournament for players and next season,” he posted on X.

“Every shot hit from the entire 2025 season comes down to this one week for some guys.

“The difference of having a Tour card or not, getting into The Players/elevated events on the line, having a schedule vs playing when you can get in, can all come down to one shot, putt, or decision this week…

“There are so many storylines. I will be tuned in to watch the drama unfold!”

Justin Thomas’ performances during 2025 PGA Tour season

There were both positives and negatives in Justin Thomas’ 2025 PGA Tour campaign.

The most significant positive was his climb in world ranking from 19th at the end of last year to currently holding eighth place.

Thomas also won another PGA Tour title by beating Andrew Novak in a playoff hole at RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in April.

But his record at major championships was disappointing.

Thomas failed to make the cut at both the US Open and the PGA Championship. Furthermore, he did not secure a top-30 finish at either The Masters or the Open Championship.
