Justin Thomas has just one win to his name since his PGA Championship triumph in May 2022.

That victory came at the RBC Heritage in April 2025.

This season, the 33-year-old from Kentucky has just one top-5 and two top-10s to his name in 14 starts.

Now, context is key in everything, and it’s worth remembering that Justin Thomas underwent back surgery in November.

The two-time major champion did not return to PGA Tour action until March at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

So it has undoubtedly taken him longer than usual to shake the rust off.

Thomas has admitted that his game hasn’t been great on the PGA Tour this season, but he has performed decently.

The 16-time PGA Tour winner continues to work incredibly hard on his game, and he will be desperate to return to the winners’ circle as soon as possible.

However, one of his fans believes that may never happen again.

Thomas’ fan posted the following message on social media platform X: “Having Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, and Max Homa as my favorite golfers is so hard. The amount of downfall they have endured is unbelievable. And really none of the 3 have convinced me they can win again.“

And the 33-year-old directly responded via his official X account.

“Well, I respectfully disagree,“ Thomas said.

“I’m sorry you feel that way though. I look forward to proving you wrong as soon as possible.“

Justin Thomas needs to be patient

It’s little things like that message from one of his fans that may well motivate Justin Thomas to work even harder on his game.

We know that the 33-year-old has what it takes to win the very biggest and most prestigious events.

Now he has to go out and start proving that he’s still good enough.

However, we may well have to wait until next season before we see the best of Justin Thomas again.

He needs a full off-season to work on his game and shaking the competitive rust off at events like the American Express will be far easier than doing that at Bay Hill!
