Justin Rose is heading into this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with his sights set on a second PGA Tour win of the season.

But to add another victory, he’ll have to get past world number one Scottie Scheffler, who is also in the field.

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is one of the most recognisable tournaments on the calendar, and Rose is no stranger to success there. He took home the title in 2023, adding to an already impressive career résumé.

In contrast, Scheffler hasn’t yet found success at Pebble Beach. Despite his status as world number one, it’s still a course that has eluded him.

But don’t expect that record to last much longer. The Dallas native will be highly motivated this week to change that and add Pebble Beach to his list of achievements.

Rose has made it clear he holds Scheffler in high regard, even going so far as to compare him with Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus recently – high praise for any player.

The excitement is building at Pebble Beach this week as the season’s first Signature Event gets underway.

Plenty of top names have turned up for the tournament in California, adding to the anticipation around the event.

Scheffler and Rose were spotted on Tuesday getting in some early work ahead of Thursday’s opening round.

But it wasn’t all business for Scheffler, who seemed to be enjoying himself during a practice round with Si Woo Kim.

Speaking to reporters later, Rose shared what he noticed about Scheffler during those windy conditions at Pebble.

The 20-time PGA Tour winner is on another level compared to the rest of the field at the moment.

Scheffler is clearly feeling good as he heads into the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, aiming for his 21st PGA Tour title in just four years.

Meanwhile, Rose will be aiming for his 14th win on the PGA Tour this week.

Rory McIlroy, Chris Gotterup, and Tommy Fleetwood are among those who will also fancy their chances of lifting the trophy.

It promises to be an exciting week on America’s west coast!
