Tottenham Hotspur are said to be scouting the Dutch teenager.
Reported target Justin Kluivert would be open to joining Tottenham Hotspur, based on comments he made in an interview with Goal earlier this year.
Tottenham are said to be monitoring Kluivert, along with his Ajax teammate Donny van de Beek, as they seek to recruit the best young talent Europe has to offer.
The Dutch winger – whose father, Patrick, is the former Barcelona and Netherlands striker – burst onto the scene last season and has scored or assisted eight goals in his first 31 games for the Amsterdam side.
But he already harbours big plans for the future, starting with a move to England, before following in his old man’s footsteps.
“Barcelona is my dream club,” he told Goal. “Within seven years, I would like to be at Barcelona.
“But before that I would like to play in England as well. I really like that competition [the Premier League] and I would like to play there.”
Tottenham’s healthy relationship with Ajax – from whom they have signed Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen and Davinson Sanchez since 2012 – could stand them in good stead, should they wish to pursue Kluivert’s signature.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been linked with a string of wingers throughout 2017, but were unable to strengthen in the 18-year-old’s position in either of this year’s transfer windows.
