Leeds United have been linked with Leyton Orient’s Macauley Bonne.

Leyton Orient boss Justin Edinburgh has promised fans that striker Macauley Bonne won’t be leaving the club in January amid links to Leeds United and other Championship clubs, whilst speaking to the East London Advertiser.
Bonne, 23, was on the books of Ipswich Town and Norwich City before heading to Colchester United in 2009, and he was sold to Orient in 2017 after 15 goals in 84 games.
Since making the move to London, Bonne has become a star, hitting 25 goals in all competitions last term, whilst he already has 16 goals in 22 outings this term.
Bonne now has one goal in two caps for Zimbabwe too as he continues to develop, and Championship clubs are now believed to be looking at the non-league star.
Leeds United are thought to be very keen on signing Bonne in January, with Derby County, Norwich City and Nottingham Forest also pursuing his signature.

A step up from non-league to the second tier may be appealing to Bonne, but he looks to be staying put until the end of the season, according to his manager.
Orient boss Justin Edinburgh has told the East London Advertiser that he can ‘guarantee’ Bonne isn’t leaving in January and will stay until the summer, meaning Leeds may need to go back to the drawing board.
“Macauley will not be going anywhere,” said Edinburgh. “He will be here until the end of the season – I can guarantee that,” he added.
