That news may have repercussions for Tottenham, as they search for their own new manager.
Football London have reported how Spurs could go for Conte, who has stepped away from Inter Milan after winning the Serie A title.
But many Tottenham fans fear that the Italian will rock up at Goodison Park, leaving their options even more limited.
If Everton did go and land Conte swiftly that could increase the pressure on Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.
Spurs have stalled and delayed in appointing their new manager, and an announcement still doesn’t appear to be imminent.
It is now 44 days since Jose Mourinho left Tottenham and his replacement still hasn’t been found.
If Conte was to arrive at Everton it is likely that his appointment would appease a frustrated fan-base.
Conte has previously won the Premier League and although Ancelotti leaving would be a blow, his appointment would really outline the club’s ambition to ensure that they don’t go backwards.
