Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club announced that Steven Davis had signed a one-year contract extension.
The 124-cap Northern Ireland international has put pen to paper on fresh terms, committing his future to the Bears until the summer of 2022.
By that time, Davis will have given eight years of service to Rangers across two separate spells at Ibrox – he is a true club icon.
So far this season, the 36-year-old has made 23 Scottish Premiership starts, proving to be a crucial cog as Rangers secured their 55th title.
It seems Davis has no intention of stopping there, and he’s signed himself up to be a part of a potential 56th Scottish title.

There’s no reason why Steven Gerrard’s men can’t get their hands on it.
As you can see below, the Rangers supporters are elated at this news, which comes as no surprise.
Additionally, Charlie Adam also seems to be happy with the news, as he commented on the club’s Twitter announcement.

You can see the ex-Rangers man’s tweet below.
In total, Davis has made an incredible 301 appearances for Rangers, winning four titles, two Scottish League Cups and one Scottish Cup.
