Luciano Spalletti has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur among other clubs, but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has made it clear that he is not going to let the Italian manager leave at the end of the season.
As quoted by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, De Laurentiis has noted that Napoli are just getting started after winning Serie A.
A 1-1 draw with Udinese on Thursday evening saw Napoli win the Scudetto, their first championship success since 1990.
Spalletti is the architect of the success for Napoli this season.
Under the former AS Roma head coach, Napoli are playing wonderful attacking football and are also defensively good.
Napoli have been the best team in Italy this season, and we are not surprised at all that Tottenham have been keeping an eye on the 64-year-old, who has won as many as nine trophies in total so far in his managerial career.
In February 2023, Italian newspaper Il Mattino claimed that Tottenham are among the clubs who are considering former AS Roma boss Spalletti.
Calciomercato.it reported in March that Tottenham are still keen on the Italian boss.
But it seems that De Laurentiis has no plans to let Spalletti leave now.
