John McGinn is back in goalscoring form. Jack Grealish is back from injury. Ten games to go, a certain ten game winning run is back on the cards for Aston Villa!
Joking aside, it would be something special for Aston Villa to replicate that run from their promotion days, but after a disastrous few weeks, things are seemingly clicking back into place for those in the West Midlands.
On Wednesday, McGinn was praised for scoring a brace for Scotland during their 4-0 World Cup qualifying win against the mighty Faroe Islands, yes mighty!
McGinn’s knack of arriving late in the box was on show once again, including scoring a deft header.
Former Scotland defender, Willie Miller, labelled McGinn’s driving runs as ‘just perfect’, as he told BBC Sport.
“When you get crosses that good, you just have to turn them towards goal,” said Miller.
“John McGinn does that brilliantly. His drive and energy are good, and his timing to arrive from midfield is perfect, just perfect.”

McGinniesa will be hoping to now transcend his international form onto the domestic scene because it’s needed in B6.
With Grealish returning, McGinn back in form, Ollie Watkins on a high following his England call, it’s time for Dean Smith’s men to get their European charge back on track.
They are outsiders for those top-seven places, but a couple of wins would do the club the world of good.
