Some Arsenal fans on social media have been fawning over Martin Odegaard after the club’s latest Open Mic video was posted online.
The Gunners release a video like this on a weekly basis, focusing on what a player says and does on the pitch, and against West Ham they recorded everything Odegaard was doing and shouting against West Ham.
Arsenal probably couldn’t have chosen a better player to focus on in the West Ham game as he put in what has to be described as a Man of the Match display against the Hammers, inspiring the London club’s fightback from 3-0 down to grab a point against David Moyes’ side.
It was easy to see just how good Odegaard is on the ball during that game, but these recordings show another element to his game, highlighting just how vocal he is on the pitch.
Odegaard seemed to be ordering his teammates around, barking instructions and genuinely marshalling the team, which is incredible when you consider he’s only been at the club for a couple of months.
