Rangers made the right move selling Ibrox flop Joe Garner.

A strong start for Joe Garner last season led to Mick McCarthy criticising Rangers’ move to sell the striker.
McCarthy labelled Rangers’ decision as ‘baffling’, with Martyn Waghorn also offloaded to Ipswich the same summer, the Scottish Sun reported.
The goals have since dried up for Garner, after he struck seven times in the first half of last season.
In 2018 he has only four goals to his name and he was sold by Ipswich to Wigan in the summer.
He has only one goal for the Latics so far and has been mostly used as a substitute.
No longer can Rangers’ decision to sell Garner be viewed as a mistake. Instead it is even looking like good business.

The East Anglia Daily Times reported Rangers fetched £1 million for the striker, who was 29 at the time.
A lack of goals this calendar year has meant there are no Rangers fans lamenting the sale of a striker who did not perform at Ibrox either.
While Rangers are still looking for a third striker as Umar Sadiq has not worked out on loan, they do not need to lament giving one away.
