The Tottenham Hotspur man suffered a hamstring injury last night.

France's midfielder Moussa Sissoko arrives in Clairefontaine en Yvelines on November 6, 2017, as part of the team's preparation for the friendly football match against Wales and Germany.

Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko was forced off at half-time against Barcelona in last night’s friendly clash in Los Angeles with a hamstring injury, and Spurs fans took to Twitter in reaction to the news.

The France international has been a much maligned figure at White Hart Lane, since joining Tottenham from Newcastle United in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £30 million.

He has been heavily linked with an exit from Spurs this summer, but after injuring his hamstring, that now seems to be highly unlikely.

Tottenham fans have been crying out for Mauricio Pochettino to splash the cash this summer, and with many of his first-team squad either injured or still away on their summer holidays, he will surely have to get down to business sooner rather than later.

The Argentine is always cool and composed in his transfer business, though, and he will certainly not be forced into panic buying.
