Hearts Director of Football Craig Levein has told BBC Sport that winger Jamie Walker wants to leave the club this summer amid speculation over a move to Rangers.
Walker, 23, was born in Edinburgh and has come up through the ranks with Hearts having joined the club back in 2003, and he has now played more than 150 games for the club.

This term, the Scottish winger hit 15 goals in 43 games in all competitions, proving himself as one of the most promising young attacking players in Scottish football.
Hearts boss Ian Cathro will have been hoping to build his side around Walker, but he now appears to be pushing for a summer move away from Tynecastle.

Director of Football Craig Levein has told BBC Sport that whilst Cathro has been attempting to strike a deal for Walker to stay, he has made it clear that he wants a new challenge away from Edinburgh.
With Walker now looking to leave, it may come as a major boost to Rangers, after The Express reported just days ago that the Gers are looking to raid Hearts to land the winger this summer.

Pedro Caixinha will want a host of new signings this summer, and with more creativity wanted in the final third, Walker – a proven Scottish Premiership star with a great goalscoring record for a winger – fits the bill.
It’s unclear just how much Hearts would want for Walker, but his desire to leave Hearts is a boost to Rangers’ hopes of a deal, and he would be a sound investment based on his career to date and his potential to improve.
