The former Watford winger is said to have been a target for two ex-Hornets bosses at Everton and Fulham.

Just days after being linked with moves to Everton and Fulham, Andre Carrillo is heading to the middle east after leaving Watford.

Carrillo spent last season on loan to the Hornets from Benfica, where he was reunited with Marco Silva, the now Everton manager.

Journal Record reported earlier this month that Silva was ready to ‘ramp up’ his interest in the Peruvian winger, although Libero later claimed Everton’s pursuit was under threat from Fulham, who were prepared to double his wages to around £65,000 a week and whose own boss, Slavisa Jokanovic, was previously employed by Watford.

But according to A Bola, Carrillo is on his way to Al Hilal instead, despite his initial reluctance to play for the Saudi side, who will pay €4 million (£3.5 million) to loan him for a year and have a purchase option of €20 million (£17.65 million).

Carrillo played 30 times for Watford last season, scoring or assisting on four occasions, although it would appear that he will not line up against them – for neither Everton nor Fulham – this campaign.
