Newcastle are in negotiations over Tammy Abraham.

Newcastle United are negotiating with Chelsea to bring in young striker Tammy Abraham on a season long loan, report The Sun.
Alan Nixon’s report claims the Toon will pay Abraham’s £25,000 per week wages in full, in order to help sway their chances of doing a deal.
Usually it is a big commitment from a loaning club to agree to cover 100 per cent of a player’s wages – but in Abraham’s case it is small change.

The young striker is still on wages which reflect his age, 19, and Newcastle won’t find a better bargain all summer.
Landing Abraham on loan may not lead to a permanent deal if he continues his prolific Championship form, but Newcastle would do well to benefit from the services of the youngster in their first season back in the top flight.
Abraham exceeded expectations last season on loan at Bristol City in the Championship, scoring 26 goals in all competitions for the Robins.

Newcastle need alternatives to Dwight Gayle up front, who went down over the last month of the season with injury.
Abraham is unlikely to be on his ‘low’ wages for long if he continues to show his potential.
The Sun reported last month that Abraham is in line to earn a £50,000 a week contract from Chelsea.
By acting early, Newcastle could commit to the £25,000 scale and have the Blues picking up the difference if they choose to up his earnings after an agreement is struck.
