Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has taken to Twitter after making his first home appearance for the club on Wednesday.
Jurrien Timber has taken to Instagram to celebrate playing his first home game as an Arsenal player.
The Gunners were in pre-season action on Wednesday evening as they hosted Monaco in the Emirates Cup.
Youssouf Fofana put Monaco ahead at the Emirates Stadium before Eddie Nketiah levelled it up.
Arsenal ended up winning on penalties and the attention will now quickly turn to the Community Shield clash with Manchester City on Sunday.
That’s Arsenal’s final game before the new Premier League season begins against Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal are trying to bed in new signings such as Declan Rice and Kai Havertz, with Wednesday handing them their first home appearances since joining from Arsenal.

Jurrien Timber reflects on Arsenal home debut
The same goes for Jurrien Timber, who has arrived from Ajax in a deal worth around £38.5million this summer.
The Dutchman is known as a centre back who can play at right back, but he has featured at left back in pre-season.
That’s where Timber lined up for Arsenal against Ajax as he continues to show off his versatility at the back.
Given that Arsenal have been away in Germany and the United States, this was the first chance for Timber to play in front of the home Arsenal crowd.

Timber has now taken to Instagram to post just two words, stating ‘warm welcome’ having enjoyed his first outing at the Emirates Stadium as an Arsenal player.
Arsenal teammate Eddie Nketiah applauded Timber whilst Dutch players such as Brian Brobbey, Myron Boadu, Owen Wijndal and Jorrel Hato sent their support.
Timber has put himself in a decent position to start for Arsenal against Forest – though it’s unclear just which position Arteta will pick.
