Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was a little baffled with Watford taking the game to his side when they were already 4-0 down.
The Reds went down to Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon without Alisson or Fabinho after their Brazil commitments.
Liverpool didn’t let it disrupt them though, taking a 2-0 lead thanks to Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
Firmino added the third before a quite ridiculous Salah goal made it 4-0. Firmino grabbed his hat-trick, rounding off a perfect afternoon for Liverpool.
Watford barely laid a glove on Liverpool for much of the game, but a brief resurgence confused Klopp a little.
Klopp comments on Watford approach v Liverpool
When Salah put Liverpool 4-0 up, Watford suddenly started having a go.
They had been passive, lethargic and uninventive for much of the game, giving Liverpool a comfortable afternoon.
Watford did have a go late on though. Cucho Hernandez fired one shot wide before Ismaila Sarr hit the post.

It wasn’t enough to rob Liverpool of a clean sheet, but enough to leave Klopp perplexed.
Speaking to BT Sport, Klopp said that Watford taking the game to Liverpool when 4-0 down made ‘not too much sense’.
Still, he was delighted with how serious his players were at Vicarage Road, turning in a huge performance.
“I think that Watford had an idea today as well, but we didn’t let it happen; we were so dominant, played a good football game, could have scored more, but all fine obviously,” said Klopp.
“After 4-0, we stopped defending a little bit, they actually started playing after we scored the fourth goal. It makes not too much sense, but…it was a good game and brilliant goals, come on, really brilliant goals – all of them. Good energy level, good attitude, character. The boys were just pretty serious today and that was important,” he added.
