Fabinho was so good for Liverpool against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday that manager Jurgen Klopp has given him a nickname.
The Brazil international was a sentry in the Reds’ midfield in the 2-1 win over Spurs, blasting anything and anyone that tried to breach him.
The Liverpool boss obviously prefers a different analogy for the former Monaco star though – a vaccum.
Fabinho hoovered everything up in midfield yesterday, and the German manager has coined the moniker ‘Dyson’ for the big man.
He told Liverpool’s official website: “And then ‘Dyson’ in the centre, who was there for each ball defensively – what a game he played, unbelievable! Connecting with Bobby in the centre… I love the game, to be honest.”
Fabinho is an absolute monster of a player for Liverpool, but he’s walking a dangerous line.
If he gets booked in next week’s trip to Aston Villa, Fabinho, who has four yellow cards under his belt this season, will serve a one-match ban and that’ll be against Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side are six points behind the Anfield outfit in the Premier League table, and victory for Liverpool would make it so very difficult for the Sky Blues to catch them.
But they need Fabinho, their Dyson, in midfield that day.
