Paul Merson has written in SportsKeeda that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp should include Darwin Nunez in the starting lineup against Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield this weekend.

Liverpool will take on Brighton at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday.

Former Arsenal star and Sky Sports pundit Merson believes that Klopp has to keep faith in striker Nunez and start the £146,000-a-week (AS) 23-year-old Uruguay international striker against Brighton.

Paul Merson wants Darwin Nunez to start for Liverpool v Brighton

Merson wrote: ”Jurgen Klopp will persist with Salah and Luis Diaz in his forward line. I think he’s got to play Darwin Nunez as well – they paid a massive fee for him and they now have to back him.”

Keeping faith

In our opinion, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp should include Darwin Nunez in the starting lineup against Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield.

Yes, Brighton have done well in the Premier League so far this season, but they have a new manager now.

Nunez is hugely talented, but the striker has not exactly been great for the Reds so far this campaign.

The 23-year-old needs to play regularly to get more confidence, and starting against Brighton would make sense.

Nunez has scored one goal and given one assist in three Premier League matches for Liverpool so far this season.
