According to The Sun, Leeds are keen to sign a long-term target of theirs this summer – Rangers forward Ryan Kent.
Marcelo Bielsa is said to have asked Victor Orta to offer Steven Gerrard £15 million for his 24-year-old attacker.
This news comes after Leeds saw a bid rejected for the Rangers No.14 back in August, with Gerrard issuing a hands-off warning as Sky Sports covered.
Now, Leeds are set to swoop again for the forward, who Jürgen Klopp – one of football’s brightest minds – is a big fan of.
Speaking back in July 2019, when Kent was still a Liverpool player, the German told LFCTV that the Oldham-born winger is a ‘wonderful’ footballer.
Klopp said: “Ryan had sensational moments in the Sevilla game – one-on-one situations are his big strength. He is a wonderful kid, a wonderful player.”

In our view, we can’t see this deal happening.
Leeds would presumably have to smash their club-record transfer fee to take the 12-goal man away from Ibrox, especially now with Rangers on the up.
The former England Under-20 international will be experiencing Champions League football for the first time in his career next season.

In that respect, Leeds would have to do so much work to convince Kent to abandon that, and also to convince Rangers to sell.
It’s a tough one to negotiate, but Orta has admittedly done some fine work in the market recently.
