Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp has been discussing Roberto Firmino’s fitness and availability.
Firmino missed Liverpool’s win against Manchester United earlier this week due to an injury, but luckily, it seems as though he’s recovering at a rapid rate.
Indeed, according to Klopp, Firmino is getting better and better with each passing day, and while he’s still in pain, the German says that the striker could be involved against Everton if he gives the green light.
What’s been said?
Klopp spoke about Firmino.
“Bobby is getting better and better, it’s uncomfortable and painful, so we have to make sure, today’s his first day on the pitch. There are two days to go so maybe if Bobby gives the thumbs up then he will be involved, but if not we will wait another few days and then it should be possible,” Klopp said.

Surely won’t start
While Firmino could be in the squad against Everton, we have to imagine that he won’t be starting against the Toffees this weekend.
Indeed, if he’s only just recovering from an injury, then he shouldn’t be risked, and to be honest, he’s not Liverpool’s first-choice these days in any case.
Of course, Firmino would be an asset off the bench for any team, but with Liverpool needing to win pretty much every game between now and the end of the season, they have to field their strongest and fittest XI in every single match.
