The Liverpool goalkeeper has been linked with an exit from the club this summer.

When speaking to reporters over the weekend, Jurgen Klopp suggested that he believes Simon Mignolet will remain at Liverpool this summer, as quoted by Goal.
The Belgium international joined the Reds from Sunderland in the summer of 2013, for a fee believed to be worth £9 million, according to BBC Sport, and he has gone on to make 204 appearances in all competitions for the Merseyside outfit.
Mignolet has fallen well down the pecking order over the past 12 months, however, and is now seen purely as Alisson Becker’s back-up.
The London Evening Standard claims that the 31-year-old wants to leave Liverpool this summer, although it will take a bid in excess of £8 million in order to prise him away from Anfield.
Klopp told reporters that he thinks Mignolet will stay on Merseyside this summer, however, as quoted by Goal:

“Yes. [From what] I’ve heard [he will stay]. [We’ve had] a lot of conversations in the last couple of years, months. Before we left [for summer] we had a talk, I would say yes [he will stay]. At a club like Liverpool you need two ‘No. 1s’, at least, at the club.”
Despite committing several high profile errors in recent years, the Belgian is still a capable goalkeeper, and he is a decent back-up for Alisson at Liverpool.
Should a decent offer come in for his services, however, it would no surprise to see him moved on by the Reds this summer.
