Liverpool managed to pick up a 4-3 victory against Red Bull Salzburg yesterday, but Jurgen Klopp’s side were given a scare.

Jurgen Klopp has told the Liverpool Echo that he was shouting at Liverpool players to stick to their structure from the touchline, as he could see them struggling against Red Bull Salzburg.

Liverpool were given an almighty scare at Anfield last night, as they saw their 3-0 lead evaporate against the Austrian side.

The Reds looked so dominant for the first 40 minutes of the contest, as they raced into a commanding lead.

However, Salzburg refused to lie down, and they managed to score three times to bring the scores back level after a tactical shift.

Klopp could see his Liverpool side struggling to cope after Salzburg moved into a diamond system.

And he said: “The only little thing they changed was to a diamond. In the different areas they had more players.

“I was already shouting in the first half that we had to use our structure again. But that’s easier said than done.

“There are a lot of things to learn and improve, but the target before the game was winning and we have done that.”

In the end Liverpool rallied after they conceded an equaliser, and Mo Salah went on to seal the three points with a well taken finish.

Liverpool will want to tighten up defensively at the weekend though, when they take on Leicester City.

The Reds have taken maximum points in the Premier League so far, but Leicester have also started the campaign well, and sit in third place in the table.
