Barcelona were too good for Liverpool in the end last night.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s 3-0 Champions League defeat to Barcelona last night, and shared what he told his players in the dressing room after the match, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
The Reds actually played quite well against Barca last night, and they were unlucky not to score at least once, but they were eventually undone by some Lionel Messi magic.
Klopp’s men now have it all to do, and if Barca score at Anfield next Tuesday, Liverpool will need to bang in five goals in order to qualify for the final of the competition.
They will be confident that they can cause Barcelona problems, however, having tested the Spanish giants on numerous occasions at the Camp Nou last night.
And Klopp told reporters after the game how proud he was of his side’s performance, sharing what he told the Liverpool players in the dressing room after the game, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:

“What did I say to them after the game? I said that I am really proud of them, that I liked a lot of things about the game.”
Next up for Liverpool is a trip to Newcastle United on Saturday, before they play Barca again three days later.
The Spaniards have already won La Liga, so they will be able to rest key players for their trip to Celta Vigo on Saturday.
It’s certainly advantage Barcelona, but Liverpool will still believe that anything can happen.
