Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that Diogo Jota could still do better despite his impressive performance against Leeds United at Elland Road.

While Klopp was happy with Jota, the Liverpool manager has told the club’s official website that the £41 million (BBC Sport) Portugal international forward could still improve.

Liverpool got the better of Leeds 6-1 away from home at Elland Road in the Premier League on Monday evening.

Jota scored two goals for the Merseyside outfit.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers star also provided an assist.

Jurgen Klopp on Diogo Jota for Liverpool v Leeds United

Klopp said about Jota: :Yeah, [he was] injured too long, same like Lucho [Diaz], and that’s obviously tricky.

“Diogo was involved in a lot of top, top moments, won the ball back and set up Mo’s first.

“Still, you can see there is space for improvement and he has some moments where you can see the rhythm maybe [is] not 100 per cent.”

Important player for Liverpool

In our view, Diogo Jota is a very important player for Liverpool, and we believe that the Portuguese star could play a big role for the Reds in the final weeks of the season.

Yes, it is going to be hard, but there is still a chance that the Reds could sneak into the top four of the Premier League table this season.

Jota has had injury problems this season, and that has affected his game.

The 26-year-old has made eight starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season.

Jota has scored two goals and given four assists in those games.
