Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has raved about Andy Robertson for his performance against Manchester City on Sunday evening, as quoted on BBC Sport (18:51).
Klopp was impressed by the energy level of the Scotland international left-back during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Primmer League.
The German said, as quoted on BBC Sport (18;51): “Robbo could go 95 mins – energy level was incredible.”
How did Andy Robertson play against Manchester City?
Robertson is one of the best left-backs in the world, and the former Hull City star had yet another good game for Liverpool.
Perhaps the 26-year-old could have done better defensively for the City goal and the penalty decision as both moves came from his side, but overall, the Scotsman did well.
The left-back played well going on the attack and linked up nicely with the attacking players.
According to WhoScored, Robertson played one key pas, had a pass accuracy of 79.1%, won one header, took 69 touches, attempted one dribble, made one tackle, and put in five crosses.
So far this season, the 26-year-old left-back has scored one goal and provided two assists in eight Premier League matches for Liverpool, according to WhoScored.
Robertson has also played thrice in the Champions League for the defending English champions so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.
