The Liverpool defender has been out injured for the past four months.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference yesterday, and responded when asked whether Joe Gomez could feature tonight against Porto, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
The 21-year-old has been out injured since December with an ankle injury, and having him back for the final five weeks of the season will be a huge boost for the Reds.
Liverpool have been brilliant defensively this season, but that doesn’t mean that Klopp wont be desperate to have the Charlton academy graduate back and available for selection.
The German addressed the media yesterday, and suggested that Gomez is fit to take part tonight, although he might not have enough in the tank to play the full 90 minutes, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:

“Joe is getting better and better and better, can he play 90 mins in Champions’ League? I am not sure, but no need to think about it. Can he come on and do a great job? Yes, no doubt”
Liverpool take a two-goal lead into tonight’s Champions League clash with Porto, so they should have more than enough to make it through to the semi-finals of the competition, whichever team Klopp fields.
Having Gomez as an option, however, will be a major plus point for the German.
