Jürgen Klopp has been speaking to the media ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Atalanta on Wednesday, and he’s provided an update on Mohamed Salah.
As quoted by the Liverpool Echo, the German said: ‘Mo trained and looked really good, a negative test like the rest. He is available. We have to see what we can do with that.’
Of course, Salah – who cost £34.3 million – was absent from Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Leicester after testing positive for Coronavirus while on international duty with Egypt.
The Reds didn’t miss the former Chelsea attacker too much, as they romped to a 3-0 win over Brendan Rodgers’ side.
However, you wouldn’t want to be without a player of Salah’s immense quality for too long.

Despite having to isolate, it is encouraging to hear Klopp say that the 28-year-old ‘looked really good’ in training when it’s possible that he could’ve become rusty in that time.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss also states that Salah is available, so there’s a chance that the 67-cap Egypt international could feature.
Liverpool have won all three of their Champions League games this season, scoring eight while impressively conceding none.
However, with three Group Stage fixtures left, the job isn’t done yet.

Klopp needs Salah to help fire Liverpool out of Group D, and while that seems straightforward, things could become hairy if tomorrow doesn’t go to plan.
A win for Atalanta and a win for Ajax would place both of them on seven points, just two behind Liverpool, which would make for a nervy final two fixtures.
