Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Aston Villa duo Bertrand Traore and Ross Barkley in The Guardian.

Klopp believes that the two new Villa signings are “very good players”, and that they will make Dean Smith’s side better.

Traore, who is 25 years of age and can play as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, joined the Villans from Lyon in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £17 million.

Former Everton attacking midfielder Barkley, 26, moved to Villa on loan from Chelsea this summer.

Liverpool will take on Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Klopp told The Guardian: “Everybody has improved. But Bertrand Traore and Ross Barkley are very good players and they will offer Villa something extra.”

Jack Grealish’s message to Jota

Meanwhile, Villa star Jack Grealish has sent a message to Jota on Twitter after it was announced that the attacking midfielder is leaving.

Villa announced on their official website on Saturday that Jota has left the club ‘after reaching a mutual agreement to terminate his contract’.

The 29-year-old joined Villa in the summer of 2019 after leaving Birmingham City.

The Spanish attacking midfielder made four starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Villans last season, providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
