Jurgen Klopp raves about Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson.

Jurgen Klopp has praised Jordan Henderson in an interview with Liverpool’s official website.
Liverpool were held to a goalless draw with Bayern Munich in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League clash at Anfield last night.
Klopp was forced to experiment with a centre-back axis of Fabinho and Joel Matip, due to injuries to Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren, while Virgil van Dijk was suspended.
It was critical for the Reds to win the midfield battle as an attempt to offer enhanced protection of the makeshift back four – and they did.
Henderson was particularly effective in Liverpool’s midfield and the German manager was stunned by how often he won possession back for his team-mates.
Klopp told the club’s official website: “Defending in general was good. And of course, Hendo did a brilliant job there, it was unbelievable how many balls he won back and stuff like that.
“It was a fantastic game from him – but that’s actually what we expect as well.”
On another day Liverpool would’ve won by a couple of goals, but the clean sheet was the big thing.
Going into the Allianz Arena next month in the knowledge that Bayern scored away goals would’ve made it very hard to progress.
