The Liverpool boss is a huge fan of the towering centre-back.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp sat down for an exclusive interview with Via Sport, and raved about the quality of Virgil van Dijk, labelling the Dutchman as a ‘world-class player’.
The Reds signed the 27-year-old from Southampton in January 2018 for around £75 million, and he has proven to be worth every penny so far.
Van Dijk is now widely regarded to be one of the best central defenders in the game, if not the best, and he has totally transformed Liverpool defensively.
It could be argued that the Holland international is the first name on Klopp’s team-sheet, in spite of the vast array of attacking talent on display at Anfield.
And Klopp told Via Sport just how highly he rates Van Dijk, labelling the centre-back as a giant:

“What a giant he is. He’s a world-class player, and an even better guy.”
Liverpool were incredibly unfortunate to miss out on the Premier League title this season, but they still have a chance of winning the Champions League, with only Tottenham standing between them and European glory.
And if they do end the season with the Champions League trophy, they will have Van Dijk to thank for his imperious displays throughout the entirety of their European campaign.
