Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is pushing to compete a deal for Jude Bellingham ahead of Manchester City, Real Madrid and Manchester United, according to SkySport journalist Florian Plettenberg on Twitter.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Liverpool and Klopp are pushing to get a deal for Bellingham done next summer.

Defending Premier League champions Manchester City and last season’s La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid are also keen on the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.

Plettenberg has added that he has been told that Manchester United do not have much chance of signing the 19-year-old England international midfielder anymore.

Bellingham could reportedly cost up to €150 million (£129 million).

Could a transfer happen?

In our view, it is going to be hard for Liverpool to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund if the German club do not lower their asking price of €150 million (£129 million).

Liverpool are up for sale now, and it is unlikely that FSG will be willing to spend that much money on a single player next summer if they are still the owners of the Premier League then.

Real Madrid and Manchester City do spend big money on players, and they could be willing to pay €150 million (£129 million) for the teenager.
