Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes there are still improvements to be made for his side ahead of their trip to Chelsea on Friday evening, despite putting four past champions Leicester City on Saturday evening, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.

Klopp has described Friday evening’s game as a real challenge, saying the Blues are now back on track following a poor season last term, but has suggested that Antonio Conte’s side will also be expecting a difficult evening.

He told reporters, as reported by the Liverpool Echo:”They defend well, attack quickly – they are strong. It’s not the easiest challenge to play them, but we are preparing well. They know we aren’t easy to play against. It’s a game to look forward to.

“There is still space for improvement & we need to improve for the Chelsea game. They have so much experience. We are much younger. It’s a challenge but I feel good when I think about it.”

Klopp confirmed that Dejan Lovren is fit to play against Chelsea after missing the win over Leicester City because of an eye injury. Emre Can returned to training this week after an ankle injury but it seems he will not play as Klopp looks to build up the midfielder’s fitness.

There was plenty of praise for Adam Lallana during his press conference, who has started the season in fine form – having found the net twice from a more central midfield role.

Klopp is neighbours with the Reds number 20, and seems glad to have the player at his disposal.

He added: “He’s a nice guy as a neighbour. I have other nice neighbours who aren’t as good at football.

“I knew him from Southampton – brilliant player. He can play different positions, quick, smart player – very important.”
