Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp handed plenty of the Reds younger prospects a chance in the first-team in midweek.

Jones and Elliott both started for Liverpool against MK Dons in midweek, as Klopp’s side picked up a 2-0 victory in the League Cup.
The young pair were two of the Reds better performers on the night, and did not looked overawed having to play in Liverpool’s first-team.
And although it would be another step up to have to start playing Premier League football, Klopp believes that the prospects are ready for it.
“They are ready for that but we need to learn the right moment,” he said. “We are not in doubt with these boys, we know exactly what we want to do with them and what we expect from them. They have all the time in the world.”
Elliott and Jones are still only teenagers, but they have been two of the standout performers for Liverpool’s development side this term.
Elliott only joined Liverpool in the summer, but he has wasted no time making an impression at Anfield.

Jones, meanwhile, has captained the Reds’ under-18’s and looks like one of the best youth products they have had for a number of years.
Liverpool’s next match comes against Sheffield United tomorrow, and it remains to be seen whether Klopp will reward either of the pair with a place on the bench.
