Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has told The Mirror that he thought Takumi Minamino ‘looked much better’ against Midtjylland.
The Reds headed to Denmark to finish off their Champions League group stage campaign, with qualification already secured.
Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the lead inside the first minute, but an Alexander Scholz penalty rescued a point for Midtjylland.
Liverpool were left gutted at the end of the game though, as Minamino scored what he thought was a late winner for the Reds.
VAR ruled out the goal though, with Sadio Mane harshly penalised for handball as Liverpool had to settle for a point.
Minamino will be gutted to have had his big moment taken away from him, but he still turned in a promising performance in a central midfield role.

The Japanese ace hasn’t quite had the impact he would have wanted since arriving from Red Bull Salzburg, but Klopp was impressed with his display last night.
Klopp noted that this was only the second time Minamino has played in that role for Liverpool, but the German thinks he ‘looked already much better’ in promising comments for his future at Anfield.
“The way we played, the way the boys adapted, not to forget that Takumi Minamino played now only the second time in that position – once in Brighton, which was a different game, and tonight it looked already much better,” said Klopp.
