Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told The Mirror that he sent a message to Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard after the match against Leicester City.

Klopp’s Liverpool will take on Gerrard’s Villa at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday.

It will be the first time that Gerrard will return to Anfield as an opposition manager.

Villa will head into the mach against Liverpool on the back of a 2-1 victory over Leicester City at Villa Park in the Premier League last weekend.

Klopp told The Mirror: “After the last game I sent [Gerrard] a message; ‘not bad at all, see ya!’”

Steven Gerrard can stun Liverpool

Villa are doing well in the Premier League at the moment.

Things are looking up for the Villans.

So, in our opinion, Gerrard can certainly lead Villa to a win against Liverpool at Anfield.

The Liverpool legend – who earns £5 million per year/£96,000-a-week (The Telegraph) – will be determined to win against Liverpool.

Now, Villa do have a strong team, and we think that they can win at Anfield.

Of course, Liverpool will head into the Premier League game as favourites, but Gerrard is doing well for Villa.

Liverpool cannot take the threat of Gerrard and Villa lightly.
